   I got stuck in the canary calls (the place where you're supposed to see the cutscene). I /kill and am stuck in the ground at the starting area

   Yep.. just the usual respawn area glitch. /Kill again should fix it, make sure your SP are high enough so you don't lose items with the new changes and what not.
