SPOILER New Boss Altar?

i was serching in olux swamp, and i found a boss altar! its called plague laboratory, and i found a book with 16 on it! 16 X, then boss! pics:

Trying out cursed venom sacs, also found a suspicious crate down by the boss altar

 

Did you know that house has more than a ground floor and basement?

Checked the attic, had a tier 2 chest and some signs talking about venom sacs alongside more signs talking about villagers disappearing and giving the police and 'anonymous tip'

 

After several attempts with the item described in the attic we weren't able to open the altar; We used 16 items, and increased it up to 20 to test it, without success; is it possible that the altar is currently broken?
I guess it's also worth mentioning that we used different servers each time

 

Can confirm, also occurred to me.

 

It seems to be working just fine on the testing server...

 

Might be because the redstone got stuck / was active while transferring? It isn't that big of a deal anyways

 

how do I get venom sac/wich mob
