    They never were created, it was just an idea they had. Then they thought of armour skins, but never got rid of the dye thing for some reason. Then they've been working on lots of things, and people thought armour skins were laggy (when it puts them on) and didn't look very good. Idk what they plan for them, but they'll wait until they do all the updates they've been trying to do since Gavel.
