What Is The Point Of These Pumpkins?

    I found a couple of pumpkins hidden in extremely inconspicuous places... why are they here? The first pic is taken in Nivla Forest, and the second is taken in the Lion Lair. Keep in mind, if this was for some past Halloween thing, I've only been playing for 3 days. I just want to know why they're so well hidden.

    Lighting, they're jack-o-lanterns. Builders want to have light but not make it too obvious.

    Wouldn't glowstone under dark green carpets on the grass, or under gray carpets on the path be better?
