It doesn't seem to proc all the time, and i don't understand it. I assume the X/Ys means whenever you hit something, you get X mana/hp over Y seconds. Is that how it works? Or do you get X mana/hp every Y hit? Poison i mostly understand, you hit them and it does X damage over Y seconds. However, on some weapons it doesn't seem to work. Why is that?

I don't think MS works on spells, so probably same for LS but not sure.

for the X/y for both mana and life steal, Y doesn't mean anything. It's just there for no reason

    I hope this helps:

Life steal: whenever you hit a mob there's a % change that you might get life steal, and it's that % (that I have no idea how much it is) that makes it activate every 2 seconds or so, for example: you have a weapon with 32/2 life steal, then if you continuously hit mobs it'll activate approximately every 2 seconds or so, and when it activates you receive the 32 life steal (you don't get it every time you hit a mob).

Mana steal: same deal as life steal, but it's mana instead :)

Poison: it deals a certain amount of damage over time, for example if you have a weapon with 300/3 poison it'll deal 100 damage over 3 seconds when you hit a mob (which in total corresponds to the 300 damage).

I never noticed poison not working on certain weapons so I don't know about that, sorry.

So it doesn't proc every hit. Is there a pattern to when it procs, or is it random?

Wow, this is really helpful. Thanks! Just a quick question, you said weapons with a higher attack speed have a higher chance of procing their mana/life steal. What happens if the mana/life steal is on armor?

Thanks! I've heard that the /Ys part has no meaning, i guess this explains it!

It just depends on the weapon's attack speed. If more L/M Steal ID is added with armor, then that just adds on to how many you get when L/M Steal activates.
Also, slower weapons have the higher chance, not faster ones because they attack slower speed, meaning less hits per second.
