Serious Are All Quest Items Needed?

I just leveled to level 13 without doing some of the beginning quests which give you quest items for ex. the Breathing Helmet. Now I'm curious, do I need those items or will I get them in later quests too?
I'm worried I've just missed out on them and decided to ask that here.

 

Yeah, you need them for later quests. Anything with the [Quest Item] tag will be used in other quests, which usually will be multiple levels away.

 

Not all of them are! But it's better to keep them (the breathing helmet for example is required for some higher level quests) until you've done most quests.
If you lose them, it's possible to reclaim them using /fixquests

 

Some quest items will be required for future quests, but not all of them. For example, you receive a Bob's crushed soul, which is required for Temple of Legends. But you get another quest item such as a slime scooper, which isn't required for future quests, or at least, not yet.

Although it's safe to assume that all quests items will be needed, so I would suggest you keep them.

 

That didn't really answer my question Divy. I said I haven't done quests that would give me quest items for ex. Underwater which will give me the Breathing Helmet quest item. And I'm worried that I've screwed over a quest now.

 

It's best to do all lower levelled quests first, so you can be certain you have all required items. In case you've already done it and lost the helmet, you can use /fixquests

 

'You have no missing quest items..' When I clearly have no Breathing Helmet. Does that only apply when I get to the quest when I need those items?

 

If you get to many items (usually by doing /fixquests) you can put them in your daily chest.

One advice, if you got multiple of the 1000023740297384728847827823 quest helmets, just get rid of em, you only need 1.

A few quest items you get are never used for quests later on and just end up sitting in your bank. (I'm looking at you slime scooper)

 

Thats very offensive to us slimes. Ever think how we feel when you scoop us up.

But yea only a few quest items get used again.

 

Doing quests at a higher level doesnt screw with anything.
Just do the quests you want to
