Isn't that levitation effect ? I know its only in 1.9 not 1.8 , or its just some of Jum Jum codes ?

I might be the levitation effect, now that I think about it. Or maybe it's just some crazy code magic Jumla did.

 

If it is, that's a really unique way to use levitation, and if it's not that's actually even cooler.

I can actually make that effect with command blocks
Using /tp @e ~ ~0.1 ~ in a loop ( using fast clocks )
Maybe he used a tp method in his code ??

Considering as that the staff and content team are constantly recommending the use of 1.8.9, I doubt it.

 

They probably would have announced it by now if it were being moved to full 1.9, and there are many new things they could do and things they would have to change/fix with the 1.9 mechanics.

You realize just because the person in the teaser is using 1.9+ doesn't indicate anything about the server upgrading fully...

 

That just means the video was made in 1.9

 

There is no levitation in 1.8 , keep that in mind

 

Yeah, but we think it applies the levitation effect to affected mobs, and levitation is only available in 1.9

Edit: just realized you were talking about the notification. Thought you meant something else nvm.

 

The air special just makes them hover a block or so above the air, the levitation effect makes them go higher. They could be using invisible bats and particle effects.
