Update Room

A quick question: upon the eventual release of the Gameplay Update, will everyone be sent back to the update room or somewhere like it (ex. Ragni's main square, Detlas, tutorial valley, etc.) like we were with the release of Gavel? I know a lot of dungeons and towns and quests are being redone, so I was wondering if this would be done to prevent dozens of people from being suffocated in blocks.

 

This will probably be the case, yes.

 

I'm pretty sure we'll be tp'd in the update room.

 

Or we will get tped into yahya grandma house , I'm sure.

 

I feel bad for the people who don't have a scroll to gavel, so they have to take the 10 minute boat ride and X minutes to get where they were

 

This is probably not going to happen. It only happened in the gavel update for a few specific reasons, and no similar factors exist in the gameplay update, as far as the changeblogs go. It's possible, but unlikely.

NOOO MY EMPIRE BUILDER STORAGE CLASS IN THE UPDATE ROOM WILL NOT BE ORIGINAL!

 

What if you're standing in a mesa elevator or a dungeon or something? Death.

 

I'm fairly certain dungeons don't allow you inside if you haven't used a key, so you'd be teleported to the entrance anyways.

 

For example, all our gear got unidentified, so we were put in a room with item identifiers. Also there were potion merchants so we could get health pots. It was our "preparation" room. I don't think it's necessary to be put in these rooms, and it's probably not going to happen.

Every other Map Update did not include update rooms. Gavel was not the first time the map was changed.

 

Pretty sure the update room was new with Gavel, so of course you had never been sent to a place that did not yet exist.

And that is to say the update room, as it was unique to gavel. Seeing as how it already exists and has been used before, it would not surprise me if its creators would like to get more than one use out of it.

If the update room doesn't come, what will happen to all our storage classes that are in there??

 

I did not dismiss the possibility, it's just I find it rather unlikely.

The fact that they introduced the update room with gavel means nothing; it was certainly not a difficult thing to create, and could've been made in any of the previous updates.

 

The update room is still there, so that you access any class that is still back there. Anyhow, I have no certain answer regarding the teleportation to the Update Room, so I'll just not answer. That is all for Salted to decide.

 

I vote for all of us to be teleported to a room with a statue of salted riding harambe
