Why Is The Wynncraft Economy So Fucked Up?

Why do people say that wynn's economy is bad?

 

Mainly because of the inflation. Top tier gear a few years ago was a few LE. These days they go for stacks of the stuff.

EDIT: This is because of the influx of money over the years, with more quests and better ways to earn money.

 

and in 3 years oak wood sticks will be worth 2 stacks each!

Actually no; because they're directly tied to a set cost already inflation will never get so bad that an Oak Stick will be worth even one LE.

What worries me more is how the new update is going to affect the economy, as on the one hand, the 3-4x amounts of legendaries, rares and uniquie means that they're all cheaper, but selling them to item buyers would flood more money into the system, causing inflation to rise

 

For a time Jungle Fever was considered an easy way to get a lot of money.

Because for some reason people sell blue masks for up to 10 stacks of LE

When then update came out, thrundas were worth 1.5-2 stacks... now some crazy people are selling them for 6-10 stacks

 

True, although I feel the thundas is more an example of a rise in demand as more people are willing to deviate and experiment with elements as time goes on rather than a rise in inflation

 

Before. I used to not be able to afford anything good with 1le or less (the amount I had).
Now. I still can not afford anything good with 40+le (amount I now have)... ;w;

 

Well for example, pre gavel the highest amount of le a piece of armor would go for was around 10-25le. The highest amount is around 3-6 stacks. Due to the increase of emerald drops from mobs and the increase of quest.

Well, there are so many emeralds Wynncraft that prices keep going up, as an emerald is getting more common, essentially making an emerald actually less valuable than the actual cost of an emerald goes down in the market economy, making an item increase in price. As a result, the poor are more poor and the rich are more rich.

 

I believe a piece of endgame armor was worth 5-8 LE, and an endgame weapon was worth 2-3 LE.

 

Depending on ID's they would have been worth more.
Hell a long time ago endgame could easily have been 32le+

Unless I misread the blog, I thought legendary and mythic drop rates were unaffected and only rare and unique were more common?

Yeah I misread it, it's still only 2-3x more though (such a big difference amirite)

I think he meant with no Id's, Cuz u know..you didn't have to id armor and weapons.

I bought a 344 pure today for 55le... Talk about inflated

 

Only mythic/set droprates are unaffected
