What To Do With My Skill Points?

Hello,

I have logged in after about a year of not playing, and all my skill points were reset. I put all my skill points where needed so i can wear my old gear, but i still have 45 skill points.
So from what i understood, now weapons and gear have skill level limits, so i didn't want to use all my skill points untill i understand how the new system works.
I also saw elements are a new thing in the game. I read about it and i know how it works, but i don't know what element(s) i should choose to focus on, if at all. can you help me?
I am a lvl 54 mage.

 

Depends on your build. Would you rather hit hard but slow, hit fast but lightly, have lots of mana and spell dam, have tons of def and health, or be really fast and dodge most attacks?

 

You should adjust your armor and weapons according to your build, meaning that you should decide for a "path" to take (e.g you want to be a water-mage, and spend all your points in intelligence and a few in agility).

 

so that means that I won't be able to wear some armors or use specific weapons?

 

Yes but with some disadvantages come with advantages, design your own unique build, fit it to match your own build. And watch opponents be destroyed by your wrath.

The best thing to do is to start a new class, and learn the new changes yourself. And no, I'm not kidding.
