I Need A Name For A Thingymabobber

(this probably won't happen soon, but I want to decide on a name)

This name is for a potential YouTube channel that I have in my head. It would be a GradeAUnderA/A Kind Ale War/Extra Credits/Zero Punctuation style of video, of course starring Lazarus the Velociraptor, everyone's favorite dinosaur from the fluffiest clade in Dinosauria.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE recommend your own if you have a good idea. I will add it to the poll. Check back every now and then to see if a cooler option has arrived.

So the first two have their pros and cons.


A. VELOCIRANTS

Pros:​

1. 1. My character is a Velociraptor
   2. I talk fast, so it has a double meaning of "Velociraptor rants" and "Fast rants"

Cons:​

1. 1. Doesn't make as good of a pun as "Lazarants"

B. LAZARANTS

Pros:​

1. 1. My character is named "Lazarus"
   2. good pun
   3. fuckin good pun
   4. ye that's a good pun :3

Cons:​

1. 1. People may assume this is one of those preaching channels because Lazarus is a biblical name, which means less people looking for a GAUA style video will come and people will get mad because it's not even related to religion.
   2. Velociraptor is a more easily identifiable name.

 

Velocirants is a much better name, because for people with no prior knowledge of who "Larzarus" is, they will not understand what channel they are walking into. Velocirants is actually a genius name, because it states the base idea of the channel, (a dinosaur who rants) in a fun pun.

Identibility is key in a youtube channel. I have a friend with just about 60000 subs, and one of his key points in making the channel was to have a name that fit with his theme of star wars, so his channel is called "Star Geek". Instantly recognisable and easy to tell what the channel is about. In comparison, a channel name like "idubbztv" can be very confusing to newcomers, and idubbz has stated that it has been a major setback for him.
