The Need For Roles In Dungeons

    So as of now dungeons are just kind of a thing to do for exp and it requires little effort to do. I was wondering if there will be a need for certain roles in dungeons to actually be able to complete the dungeon. Eg. The need for a Tank to take all the damage and healer along with DPS's.

    Because in other games it punishes you for not having the right party set up and that is what I enjoy about other games. They force everyone to have a role and will not allow 5 DPS's just to do the dungeon without a tank or healer.

    What are your thoughts on the need for roles in a dungeon

    there is no taunt, therefore there will not be roles unless there's special stuff added in which would take too much effort probably
    additionally there's only one heal and it's really boring.

    Tank can just use Healing Potions.
    Some people be solo. They don't wanna have to post a whole Thread to to ask people to join completing a Dungeon multiple times for XP.

    Archers can pretty much solo everything. Their escape spells help most of the time and have very high damage dealing bombs. All they need is healing potions and they can wreck a dungeon. Although being a mage is pretty good, meteor and teleport.

    What do you mean by this, I was talking about traditional roles within classic MMORPG's. They force you to have a role within the dungeon to succeed

    Also, this would make people not want to do dungeons - if we need 4 ppl and each has to be a different class then it would take awhile to get sufficient numbers, and people would not do the dungeon - 30 mins of organizing with only 10 minutes to do the dungeon? I don't think so. Also, many people would not like the idea of being forced into a specific playstyle.
    A dungeon can be soloed with enough care at the correct level, if one is underleveled, or does not wish to do said dungeon alone, they can grab 1 friend. So, 2 people, doing the dungeon, it's easy! (even with the Silverfish dungeon) And they can be both Archers, or Warriors, or maybe an Assassin and a Mage. There is no need for this, as it will make doing dungeons take forever (cuz organizing), and it will force players into specific playstyles.

    Sorry for taking that the wrong way. At the time of looking at it, it seemed as though it wasnt a joke.

    Anyway back to the discussion, I see how the population isn't probably high enough for such a thing to occur and forcing people to have a playstyle is probably detriment to a game like Wynncraft. I was more bringing on my experience with other MMO's and what I liked about them into this but it probably wouldn't fit with Wynn.
