Is this the great nether portal on that mountain next to Detlas or is this the portal in the Abandoned Mines?

 

I have not put much thought into it, and I feel like it's one of those things that you need to look deep into to even start to understand

 

Well, Ragni's Mail out right says it, and other lores hint at the nether portal (Lunar Spine, Nemract's Ruin, etc) and it probably came to be the way it is now after the undead had risen from it, as no one besides the player(s) have been in the nether since. It's also possible that the nether we see on the map isnt a canonical depiction of it, as the current map seems to be a pvp map, while we know that there were miners in the nether, well mining, and to my knowledge there isnt any evidence of a mining operation.

Near nessak/detlas the one in the abandoned mines isnt a nether portal ;)

Well, I never said they countered it per se, I just said that the civil war was fairly recent. In fact, in might also explain the influx of refugees (read: players) into the Army, as stated by the farm assistance quest (and the king, who seems to have gotten used to the "recruits" pouring in). Since these "recruits" arrive sporadically by the wagonload, and are so profitable that people have apparently made a business of them coming by now (just look at all the stalls), Fruma would possibly have had it's civil war say 1 year ago, giving us ample time to set the stage. And for the imports, I always kind of thought that they were salvaged from people who brought them from Fruma instead of some national drive, since they seem to be magical and come rather sporadically.

I don't believe that Fruma will be anything like this, considering that it will be a follow up to Dern, which is darkness, I believe that Fruma could easily be light or purity, possibly meaning that it could be directly next to Dern with a cool light/dark border fading and creatures fighting on it like a warzone.

Anyway, I think Fruma will be light because it makes sense

Firstly light is Gavek. Secondly Fruma will probably come out before Dern, not after.

Sorry I got confused about your point. But you bring up something I forgot to say.

If it's the civil war idea, it had to happen in he last 3 years (after he player came to Wynn) because if it was before that, why would the player go to Wynn when there is a battle to be fought in Fruma?

 

I noticed something about Fruma that, since Fruma isn't out yet, isn't an exact theory and mostly speculation, and it may change as Fruma is developed.


At the VERY beginning of the game, (The new Gavel one) You get out of the caravan, and if you turn around, you see a gate. That's it. It's a gate.
Look at Gavel. It's gate is a masterpiece, obviously done by the most ancient villagers of all time, a masterpiece unlike any other. It obviously took a very long time building it, and a lot, and I repeat, a lot, of resources. And resources cost money. Gavel is obviously pretty rich. Look at Fruma's. Nothing special about it compared to Gavel. Not much money was put into it.

Maybe Fruma has some kind of financial problem with emeralds. They don't have enough emeralds and are having a Wynncraft Great Depression. Theres no evil force breaking into the province, you're right about that. No, it's a depression. They don't have enough money. They are struggling, and there's lots and lots of crime because they cant pay for Police Officers. You are escaping from Fruma, you aren't leaving it. You are immigrating to get a new life here in Wynn. Wynn is a Human Province that isn't struggling. It's best to move to a province of your type that isn't full of crime and struggles with money.


Now, this gate could always be a temporary gate, a placeholder for when they finally make the province and release it. They will then have a new gate.

Well, yes, obviously, but there is still no known specific date, like ~1200 years ago or something.

 

Why are you guys theorizing about Fruma so much? We still haven't even released the Corkus Update yet.

Idk. Theory topics seem to come in waves. Talk about this for a bit, talk about that for a bit. I guess Fruma is the current topic
