Necroposting

Can somebody please explain to me how necroposting occurs. Like I genuinely can't imagine somebody in their right mind intentionally going into a 1+ month year old thread and posting in it. This is literally all I can imagine.

Could somebody who has necroposted explain it to me?

 

Well It depeneds on the thread area cause it can be that some are a month old and are on page 9... also boredom... (idk never necroposted).
That or they probably used the search to find a specific thread and didn't realize it was over a month old...

 

I haven't necroposted before, but I think the reason why people necropost (most new players) is because they were searching for a specific thread (using the search function) that hasn't been replied to in over 30 days and didn't see the post date. Most necroposts are mistakes, in my mind.

 

It could be all avoided if only what they posted were relevant enough to the Thread.

Which, in fact, was necro posted on.

 

That's exactly what happens. Why? Because people have too much free time and not enough common sense.

 

Well, people ask what necro posting is all of the time. In fact, the most recent post on my wall is a guy asking what a necro is. (He previously necroed, and I called him out for it.)

 

I think it's most of the time what the others said, the search bar/searching on google
