-0 Damage Removed

Tell me if I'm just an idiot, but I haven't seen this in any change log. Today I was hitting werewolves (air defense) with my Chakram (neutral, thunder and air damage) and noticed only Neutral damage and Thunder came up as name tags.

Like this:
✤ -50
✦ -70

Previous to whatever update/patch this was included in, all damage done to a mob would show as a nametag, regardless if elemental defense blocks it entirely.

So this is what would come up:
✤ -50
✦ -70
❋ -0


This "new" system (I don't know when this happened, I didn't play for these 2 weeks) has some pros and cons.

Pros:
- Makes invisible armor stands have less nametags, potentially less lag
- Shows you only the damage you need to know
- Could make player realize they need a different weapon to do damage

Cons:
- May cause people to think their elemental damage is broken
- Could make the player not realize that they aren't doing anything (it works both ways)

This is just one of those features they must have sneaked in, surprised that no one's pointed it out yet. Unlike the emerald lore is hasn't caused any real problems, I think it's a good feature.

 

I didn't know about this, but it's certainly useful!
