Is Finding The Light Quest Broken?

I have Taproot already but i can't start the quest. Why??

 

You need a volt goat horn

 

Take a look at the text. You'll need something to wake him up, as well. Look around, there has to be something you can use.

 

Look at the quest instructions.
"You need [1 Taproot] and something to wake him up to start this quest"
You have the Taproot, but you need to find what can wake him up.

How are you supposed to know of the Volt Goat's Horn's effects without being on the forums or the wiki, when doing the quest for the first time? The quest doesn't tell you specifically what you need and I don't recall the Horn's effects being mentioned anywhere else...

 

It was a secret. Something to make players think about what they got by killing that rare goat. Something similar to [REDACTED (one or more words)] in ???. That's the best reasonable explanation that I can think of.

 

There is an NPC nearby (or in the light forest,been a while since i done this quest) that talks about it, but you are never directed there

 

There's a few NPCs around the Light Forest that talk about the Volt Goat horn. It's meant to be less hand-holdy than most quests in that regard.

 

I have never seen or even heard of any of these npc's, so maybe the quest is a bit too open ended in that regard.

 

The gaurdian used to mumble something about a volt horn in its sleep.

I think he still says that if you are bellow the required level. (Not sure tho)
