How Fast Will I Be With 60% Walk Speed?

How fast will I be with 60% walk speed? Will I be faster then a black horse (I'm archer so I can have swiftness 3)

 

The Minecraft Speed effect adds 20% movement speed per level of Speed. So, 20% walk speed is equivalent to Speed I. This mean, in effect, you have Speed VI while under the speed effect of Escape.

 

Well one level of speed is equal to 20% Walkspeed: so with 60% Walkspeed and speed 3 you will have 120% Walkspeed, which is speed six in vanilla minecraft.

 

You will sprint at a speed of 8.96 m/s, and you will have a walking speed of 6.88 m/s. Or, just 1.6x your normal speed. It does not affect your horse

If you have +60% Walk Speed and the Escape spell, you would be faster than a white horse (and horses can lag sometimes anyway).

While sprinting: 5.6*160%*160% ≈ 14 blocks per second
(sprinting)*(walk speed +60%)*(swiftness 3: +60%)

While walking: 4.3*160%*160% ≈ 11 blocks per second
(walking)*(walk speed +60%)*(swiftness 3: +60%)

Horses don't work when you're lagging, so it's better to have good walk speed rather than an expensive horse.
