Is This A Scam?

So @_Astrology made a deal with me to purchase an from him (in the deal he said that it was ok if I take a few days) btw this happened like 2 days ago. This morning when I got online to make the deal he said "sorry someone has out bid you". Like what the fuck is this? This isn't a auction it was a set deal that we had made. I have not breached the contract that we had of being on in a few days (because a few is 3-4) and he decided to sell it to someone else and now wants me to offer more for the item that we had pre negotiated.

 

It is his item and he can do whatever he wants with it. I know its mean but its not against a rule. It is scamming anyways.

 

Technically, it's not scamming. It is being a bitch though which will discourage people from buying anything from him

It's Simple.... Someone offered more, and he took the better offer. You wouldn't sit around saying "This person wants to buy it for $10 and I am waiting for him to pay." when someone offers you $50 up front. So get over it. It's how bartering works, and you actually did him a favor by putting an offer out, so he could get another person to pay a higher price. Plus there's hundreds of people on Wynncraft to buy items from, and if you can't find someone with a price that works for you, either go get it yourself or keep on browsing.

Most shop owners have a "if you do not have the item you can be outbid" policy anyways and if you don't already have one specifically written in bold somewhere in your shop I suggest you do it just to prevent this. Not a scam and not really even being rude, it isn't selfish to want to profit, it's selfish to expect people to sell their items to you even though they got better offers simply because it seems rude to you.
