Lost Soles Quest Not Progressing After Stage 8

Ok so when I throw the item in the map I see the sign saying 2 is the second or something like that and Grandon doesnt continue the quest. Am I missing something here?

There is a button in a wall close to the entrace; hit that and a piston door opens on the flags to the second floor. Do that to get your quest book updated, and then check the wiki for the code.
