Prison Story - Why Was He Arrested?

Hello, nice to look into it
I've been watching a lot of Game Theory and Film Theory lately so I tried to be skeptic and so I got some
'Ideas'

The Main Question of this thread was why the dude in prison story was imprisoned.

Here it comes:
He was arrested because of Drugs.

Why did I come to that idea?

First focus on the time he got arrested for.

He says 'for over 20 years' that is very long.
That means:
-A he got arrested because of HEAVY robbery (e.g. bank robbery)
-B He murdered
-C he got caught for many crimes

Since he has mates out there and there is an empty cell in there I guessed that dude once was in prison, too
I'd go one step further and say he was his 'helper' in his crimes.
That'd pretty much kill option B. Because murder is fairly rare committed by two (or even more ppl).
So why not robbery?
Easy question, what could they steal?
According to the timeline found here
nothing happened even 50 years ago sodeta boots are stolen but they got back and it got explained in Lost Soles
So that leaves us with C.

Regarding the length of his punishment and his age, he pretty young, isn't he?

He's at most 50 I'd guess.

Let's think, which crime is very repeating, easy done in young ages and pretty 'bad'?

Drugs.
Why Drugs, I hear you asking (or at least thinking ;-;)
Because as you may know, drugs are very easy to acquire in wynn and Gavel.
I am referring to Mushroom Man, Shattered Minds (Those were obvious) and Potion Making.
Why Potion Making?
Sorta obvious, Quote:"We are working on a prohibited potion"
(For those of you, who don't know that, prohibited means it's not allowed)
A potion, so it is a drink and it is not allowed...
Could be alcohol you say, don't you?
Why should alcohol be forbidden? Please, there are merchants that sell 'alcohol'
Also I don't see ANYTHING in there that could be becoming alcohol (Bat Ears, Bone Meal, Potions of Healing)
Do you think of any other forbidden liquid to drink? No? Me Neither.
Due to him saying it's forbidden it's obvious.

Spoiler: Why are drugs so easy to get

At first I know it's a big wall of text and thank you for reading.
Alright so you don't know how Mushroom man works, do you?
You get mushrooms, either from
-Mushroom Cows
-Nivla Woods
-Merchant in Elkurn
Those mooshrooms made me curious
because why do they have mushrooms?
They seem to be like bred with them which would make a little sense
they are near the potion making quest.
Now think a little bit.

Ready? Good.
The answer is pretty obvious if you think about it
The 'Assistant' is involved. He is another of the 4 man smoking weed mushrooms at Yayha's home
(Yahya, Ooni, the Assistant and Waront)
He brews some other 'mushroom stew' at his home, and when the guards come (because they think he has
some drugs, he simply throws away his 'Stew and Potions'. This slowly gets into the dirt around his house,
the dirt, the mooshrooms are eating all the time.
This would explain their rage, too because they're high.
And you get the mushrooms, which are growing there, in those mooshrooms... ugh..
Since you can get mushrooms in Elkurn from a legal merchant it won't be a drug, you say?
Well yes and no.
What if I told you, you wouldn't actually get high by THESE mushshrooms.
What if they'd be growing up clean?
I mean you can still make a great mushroom soup.
The real drugs are in the bowls.
You say it's a legal merchant, too. Why would he sell those.
He doesn't know.
He stores them in the woods, in Nivla which is ,you got it, full of mushrooms.
Full of dirty mushrooms.
Sending their spores nearly everywhere.
Such as in the storage of the bowls.
Even some small spores will be needed to make you high (or the seller just got high by those spores already and doesn't even notice what he sells)

So we uncovered the dark secret of Ooni (and his gang)
After many days of 'druginess' he one day, took his 'stuff' with him (very likely a potion).
So he got arrested.
Waront was his friend he let himself get arrested (idk he stole 1 emerald or such) OR
Waront was with him and had less stuff with him but because he later entered the 'gang'
wasn't be prooven in so much crimes, so he got out relatively early.
Waront, wanting so save his friend made a key, which is not that hard due to the lack of guards in ragni.
(And even if there was a guard he simply put him under drugs, which explains the ragni guards attacking random ppl)
And while making the key, he brings his friend some drugs.

I know this is mind blowing but hey, It's my first theory, how did you like it?

Or he's Salted and he got arrested for not releasing powders.

There's a level 5 unique spear called Hostage with Prison Story as a quest requirement:

If this is relevant as the quest requirement suggests, there was probably a hostage involved in the crime scene, so some sort of robbery seems more likely. It's not like bank robbing isn't non-existent in the game; you have to rob two banks to complete Jungle Fever. There isn't a bank in Ragni, but there aren't many prisons elsewhere either, so it's still plausible that he robbed a bank. He may have also robbed one of the smaller stores in Ragni (weapon/armour/scroll/potion merchant), although a bank robbery seems more obvious.

 

I think you 're overthinking it. Too many maybes. But that's only my opinion. After all it was good

Personaly i dont care why he is in prison but i like him because he gave me xp so it's ok

 

Maybe the whoever his name was from Jungle Fever asked him to rob the banks before the player and the dude got arrested in the process of doing so

Your working with a lot of assumptions here. The only time we LEGITEMENTLY see drugs is I shattered minds. Which is in gavel. And we know the guy was imprisoned before the gates opened.

When making a theory it's not good to have too many assumptions. Trust me, I should know better than anyone (there was a whole thread basically yelling at me for it). Altogether it's not bad, you just don't have enough evidence.

Maybe he stole a cake from the King of ragni and held him hostage or somethin

 

Just like he said you need more evidence , but good theory I'm hoping for another :D

Where would I get this 'proof' you speak of?
What should I make a theory on next? Any suggestions?
