Okay, so I'm thinking of getting a laptop at some point (likely not Mac) and would love to get some 3D modeling software so that I can continue a hobby that I can currently only work on at school. And while reviews are great and I plan on searching for more, I'd love to hear your guy's opinions as I know there are a few of you out there who use this to make renders.

Currently, I know how to use SolidWorks, (and rather well if I do say so myself) and right now, it's my first choice. Im looking to use the program to create parts to be, eventually, 3D printed. So, what do you guys recommend?
