Build Classic Barn

for the first time ever, I tried to make a barn! constructive criticism is welcome, but don't talk about the landscape, it isn't finished yet. also, don't complain of the lack of detailing, it is a freaking barn.

That looks pretty nice!

the roof is a bit flat but other than that it's pretty decent

 

The two problems Of see that have not already been mentioned are the red contrasts too heavily with the wood, try changing wood type and varying different shades of red, and the side stairs look very out of place, how would they help support the barn?

 

Pretty nice looking barn. Good job. Also, the front kind of looks like a face with a beard and a unibrow, which gives you bonus points from me, intentional or not.

 

Depth is very rare on this build
A barn doesnt have windows (or not every 2 meters/blocks)
Roof is very basic
The interior is very undetailed, it almost looks like it was done in survival mode

 

The barn is very plain, maybe try adding a mixture of brick in the red clay?
And maybe try adding a bit more shape, and maybe add detail to the inside, like make the path a bit more ruff, or add a mixture of dirt, coarse dirt and podzol.

Okay. thanks but as I said--
1: it isn't super detailed because it is a barn
2: don't talk about the terrain, I haven't done anything with it yet!

 

The cobblestone doesn't compliment the build very much. Add more block variety to the ground with dirt, less gravel, and corse dirt.

 

Barns can be detailed, it's just up to whos vision it is. Also they were talking about the interior ground, not outside; Is that not counted as a part of the building itself?
Anyway, keep up the building, have fun. :)
