Want To Change My Name

Hey! I really want to change my name on mc, but I somehow can't. I know it's possible, because my brother and friend that is a girl (not my girlfriend) did it. How are you able to change your name? Also, are there any consequences to changing your name? (glitches, bugs, loosing your account?) Thanks!

 

You can change your Minecraft username by going onto mojang.com and logging in. Once you log in, you will see Minecraft in a little box. Under "profile name" will be your username, and next to it will be a "(change)" button. Click that, and you are able to change your name. Your name must be over 3 characters long but not exceeding 16 characters. If you want to check name availability, I recommend using namemc.

 

just write mojang change minecraft name in the search bar and it will come up. By the way the only consequence you will face is not being able to change your name for a month after you have changed it. But on the good side, it is completely free. No bugs at all. I have changed my name about 5-6 times :D. But don't worry about changing your name. Also KEEP IN MIND that after changing your name you have to re-log into your account instead of just clicking play. And make sure your Minecraft Tab is deleted. Make sure Minecraft isn't currently on :)

idk if they fixed it, but changing names might cause some bugs on specific server, like stats reset on some servers or guild problems in wynncraft, you can check on the server's website or info if it might cause a bug and how you fix it

 

Do NOT change your name if you are in a guild. due to bugs and stuff, it will count you in the guild twice. You will see all guild messages and direct messages twice, and you can't be promoted or kicked. Leave you guild, change it, and then reinvite.

My wynncraft account won't change the username of my mc account though I already changed my name.

 

If you're talking about your forum account not updating your mc name then yeah, wait a while because it can take a few days or more for it to update. It was like that for me.
