SPOILER Gavelexcavation Clues And Theory!

Hey, I'm Oryx, you probably know me.
Today I have another theory.
It's about the supposed "Gavel Excavation" that you see on the crates in the docks of Wish Beach.


So, here it goes.

This is split into multiple parts, so, let's go.

Part 1: Llevigar and the Crates
Part 2: Karoc Quarry
Part 3: Rise of the Quartron and it's significance
Part 4: Overview

Let's get rolling.

Part I: Llevigar and the GE Crates​

In certain areas on Wish Beach's docks, there are Gavel Excavation crates. What is this all about?
According to some GMs, it's just a joke easter egg somebody put in. To other GMs, it means a lot more to the storyline than most GMs act like.

So now let's talk about Llevigar, Oh, what a beautiful city! That also might hold the province's darkest secrets?
Or at least, it's power source has some relevance.
This will play a bigger role when I talk about Rise of the Quartron, which is a quest where you find where missing quartz from Karoc Quarry is going and find a bandit society hoarding it for

So, the power source, known as the Heart of Llevigar, is what powers the city of quartz. In the Heart of Llevigar quest, the Heart is losing power quickly, and the engineers cannot figure out how to fix it.

This makes you the person who needs to fix it by going through a bunch of puzzle such as a connect the wires game, an invisible maze, and more. Then, you reboot the system.

The Heart then turns back on and starts creating power again.

One of the things that caught my eye was this message:

• Head Engineer: It's a fault in the system. The chances are so slim that it was approved for construction anyway, but it could lead to the destruction of Llevigar.

That means that this power source has the power to wipe out the ENTIRE LLEVIGAR.

And Llevigar is huge!
isn't it bigger than Detlas?
Anyway, if this can wipe out all of Llevigar, it's obvious that it would be useful to WynnExcavation.
But wasn't WynnExcavation destroyed?
Yeah, but not GavelExcavation!

Part II: Karoc Quarry


Karoc Quarry.

A nice, peaceful quartz mine, where life is perfect, and you get paid lots of emeralds!
The place is even considered a town in the game because it says [You are now entering Karoc Quarry].

Perfect place to spend your day.
Depending on what area of Karoc you go to.

If you go to a certain part of Karoc, there's some suspicious behavior going on that is talked about in
Rise of the Quartron.


There's Miner Bandits and Excavator Bandits. What's that supposed to mean?
We have intruders!

These people may be working for Gavel Excavation, who knows. There's more evidence up the
hill.
There's a small Quartz cave, that contains these Ghetto Grunts.

In fact, there's a whole ghetto for these grunts!

yeeeeeaaahh so
these miners must be minorities..?
then they are hostile, which might mean they don't want to be minorities and are fighting the quartz miners.

This mansion here comes into play in the Rise of the Quartron chapter.


ROLL THE CHAPTER 3

Part III: Rise of the Quartron Quest

So i'm going to give an overview of the quest up until this mansion, and then we will do the rest with pictures.


1. Quartz goes missing
2. Go to a suspect
3. Report back to Nasea
4. Seek out an elf with a flower that spills darkest secrets
5. Use the flower on the suspect
6. Find the person he's delivering quartz to
7. Take the contract he drops after you kill him back to Nasea
8. Find the ghetto
9. Go to the mansion

Then we're at the mansion.
If you go inside, there's a door and a sign.

Once you throw emeralds on all of the 5 gold plates, it will open.
I'll do that now.







Done!
This is the room it takes you to:

Inside is a bunch of Level 44 Tech Scientists.
Once you get past these scientists, you go into a teleporter to find the Quartron.

You kill each of it's cores, and then take each core drop to Kaosuw. He will tell you some interesting stuff.

• Kaosuw: What have you done? It was a prototype! It couldn't even move properly yet!
• Kaosuw: That powersource is completely unstable! We stole it from the heart of Llevigar.
• Kaosuw: We were going to use it to awaken more golems in the quarry, but now it looks like it is going to blow!
• Kaosuw: Oh dreg! That has the power to blow half this mountain apart!
• Kaosuw: Lets see, force shutdown. All systems down, forcefield down, run!
• Kaosuw: Quartz may be passively mystical, but that power source is a magical bomb, time to leave!

He says he stole it from the Heart of Llevigar. Intriguing. I thought we were just there a couple of levels ago...?

The end quest dialogue says "I spent 3 years for nothing!" though. IF he spent three years, how was the power source stolen a couple of days ago?

Well, my idea is that...

He said the power source is completely unstable. If he was building AROUND this power source, wouldn't it have exploded Karoc? Nope, he put it in last. He just recently finished the prototype.

Another thing I noticed was that if this Quartron is so powerful that destroying it's core will blow up 70% of Karoc Quarry, it's definitely something GavelExcavation would want to get their hands on. But, us, as the adventurer, stopped them.
Keep in mind that this is happening as WynnExcavation is growing. By this level, you can only do Site A and Site B.

Part IV: Overview and TL;DR

Well, this explains a lot about WynnExcavation.
So, here's the TL;DR:
GavelExcavation is hiding in Karoc Quarry, the logical place for an excavation group to be hiding. While they are doing this, they are creating a giant robot who's power source was stolen from the Llevigar Power Plant.

Unlike WynnExcavation, they are not as strong from what is seen in this thread, considering it's mostly made up of ghettos and bandits. (no offense to anybody.)

Their machine, the Quartron, is a robot attack machine that will destroy anything in it's path. It's core is so unstable that when destroyed, will blow up most of Karoc Quarry. Huh. Sounds like WynnExcavation. Or more, Gavel Excavation.

I voted no because I feel like Gavel Excavation is just an easteregg and you're labeling a quest with it.

 

i think it has something to do with the game later.


Oh yeah, there's something Spyrohawk mentioned to me, the WynnExcavation crew is owner by the Higher-Ups, and that means if GavelExcavation does exist, it must also be owned by the Higher-Ups.

 

1. Not all excavation companies are inherently evil. That ship was probably built like two years ago at this point, before the WynnExcavation questline was even a concept. Not saying there isn't potential for anything involving GavelExcavation in the future, just that we certainly haven't done anything with it aside from a few crates.
2. Just because the dude in Rise of Quartron stole an item from the Heart of Llevigar doesn't mean it was the same thing powering all of Llevigar. He might've just stolen a piece of equipment or something. The Heart of Llevigar itself is what's powering Llevigar, and I doubt it's possible to actually steal such a behemoth.

 

Well ima give a simple explaination of why I think this is wrong. To start off, not all quests are connected and not all companies are evil. Wynn excavation team came from gavel to get the crystals so would gavel excavation really be a thing? Im saying this becaue I would assume they would get the crystals in gavel before the wynn ones.

The main this is, why should there be one in the story? Wynn Exc was kinda made for the hype and it made a good and FINISHED story with most loose ends tied. Why make another questline to ruin it.

Plus, who tf wants a 5+ quest line. It would be like some kind of fallout 4 repetitive minutemen shit.

 

That place was called Wish Beach? Wow, I've learned something today...

 

GavelExcavation has no significance to the main storyline.

 

It was mentioned by sime GMs that it had significance, so to be safe, I've made this thread.




and guys talking about all excavation groups being bad, remember WynnEx was put on by the Higher Ups. Who knows what group created GavelExc?

 

GavelExcavation doesn't go any deeper than being an excavation company. Maybe this will change in the future (no promises), but as of right now they don't really have any significance.

 

Still good to play it safe, as it seems like there's some weird connection between them in my mind.

 

It's a bit unstable theory-wise, but I will say this.

Why would a bunch of scientists want to make a quartz golem army? Unless they ARE working for some greater evil...

STEAL is not the right word. More like "invited" or something like that
