Etheral/pure/lament?

I want to be a high damage out put water mage,which is the better wand?

Matter:
1:price(from cheap to expensive)
2:quality(how gud is the wand)
3:FOR WATER ;)

 

Lament is the highest leveled wand, why not use that? It also deals a lot of neutral damage unlike the other two.

 

But it is rare and expensive xdd

 

Out of all of those wands it's the most expensive but it's also best. The real question is "Is it worth the huge price tag?"

I just add some considerable factor of choosing a water wand

 

Pure: 20 le to 2 stacks like most mythics (expensive), only ones with high spell damage are good for damage, though the health regen is helpful if you already have lots of raw health regen already, Pure requires a bit of agility
Ethereal: 3 le to 20 le depending on how good it is, so cheaper than the other two, gives a lot of spell damage and is helpful in other water-related ways too, only needs intel
Lament: Either same as Pure or more in cost(probably more actually), all of them have low ids so they are all just as good as each other instead of having a few really bad or good ones, highest damage out of all of them, requires lots of intel and is very high level.

I would immediately rule Pure out, purely because Lament would probably be the better mythic for your needs. I would say get Ethereal until you have 110 skill points in intel, level 97 and have 2 stacks of le.

 

Not to be stalkerish but I see from your stat page you are 86 level. So you're looking at at least 5 levels of 90 level grinding before Lament is an option. A decent Ethereal is 5-6 LE, only max Spell damage and 3/4 mana get 20LE. Get a nice decent Ethereal and you'll find a Lament grinding before you can use one.

Also, I would say Requiem, it's a rare wand with similar stats to ethereal but it's normal attack speed, using some + attack speed gear it's a really good wand.

 

Lament still does really good dmg with its meteors though

 

I sold my old 456 pure for le and bought a 516 pure for same pric xd.Seems i would keep using Pure until I am level 97.However,people said pure is crap.Pure or etheral,which does the better damage/a better wand?

 

Pure used to do lots of damage, but now spell damage multiplies after attack speed boost and before raw damage. I would go with Ethereal unless your items happen to have lots of health regen, in which case Pure is going to be good. Of course, Ethereal reduces melee damage, which you may not want, but I think it's spell damage is better, especially since a spell damage build doesn't affect Pure but can affect Ethereal.

This is coming from a guy who has a pure, an ethereal, and had a lament: Requiem is a rare lvl 96 (I think) wand that does more damage than all three.
Ethereal is out done in damage by lament and any wand such as lunar spine or better.
Pure is more of a hold over in my opinion, not meant to be an endgame wand, it also does no neutral dmg. The hp regen is useless since.. Well.. Mage heal.
Lament is okayish but personally I prefer requiem.
Requiem is a rare meaning it's super easy to get, it can have up to 2/4 mana regen, 2/2 mana steal, and my current one has +11 Intel. Also the fact that it does a little more damage than lament in spells mainly because it has better attack speed, though it also has better identifications.

 

I also find it quite useful to carry the best wand for each element your skill points let you use. I carry antipode (neutral, fire, water), voidlight (air, thunder), and for earth deepwood (because I hate slow attack speeds). In my experience if you are increasing your %sd and attack speed with armor and accessories, then most mob's element weaknesses more than offsets the edge your top water weapon gives. But I'm not a build purist, I've reset my skill points four times.
