    It might be a bug with the lobby; try to re-connect, or try to reach a different lobby using /hub, or /lobby

    Are the colors flickering? I experienced a similar bug after trying out 1.10, but I switched to 1.0 and then back to 1.8.9 (because the resource pack) and the problem was fixed. If you didn't use 1.10 at any point, then I have no clue....
