So a lot of the time when I'm looking at builds I see a lot of plain or boring roofs, so today I'm going to be posting some ideas/tips for your roofs!
    2016-05-24_15.46.45.png
So first off we have 3 main ways to build your roofs, on the left is a drooping roof which mimics poor support, in the middle is jagged which seems to have bad tiling, on the right is your plain average roof. 2016-05-24_15.46.56.png
here we've added some beams going through the center. 2016-05-24_15.47.10.png
and here we have the top support drooping down and the bottom arching up, these details tend to compliment each other. 2016-05-24_15.47.24.png
Now here we have a mixed palette for the inner roof, it adds a nice touch to it. 2016-05-24_15.47.47.png
finally, here are a few more examples of blending palettes. Like if this helped you and comment down below if you have a suggestion for other things I can add!

Brick doesn't go with a spruce very well. Red stained clay would do the job nicely along with some scattered stone buttons

They're good! Although the part I was told that made mine boring was the overall shape as well as the cobble outline, which follows closely with what was given here. Any examples for a scenario like that?

id recommend using two different woods spruce and oak work nicely. And if the mine portion of the house(walls) is stone based them it tends to look good

also try other roof shapes. Different shapes of roof give builds a different feel

Well the stair placement, its not hard to figure out, I dont realy think this is a good example imo

Yes but what is given here has a different roof shape I dont think cobble outlines are bad, I think they should be encouraged

Guys keep in mind that these are small and the tweaks are minimal, the bigger your roofs are the more drastic the tweak should be, I didn't have time to build a house for every roof, but because I'm getting lots of feedback I might do it later. (I have a build I've been working on and I want it to be awesome, so I've been a bit busy)
I tried to stay away from clay because there are so many combinations! Anyway, yeah that works well too.
