Assassin Advice Needed

I need help with building an Assassin with great survivability skills, all suggestions welcome.

For now, I'm thinking Dex + Def, but I need some Intelligence to reduce mana cost, too. I'm really not sure. I need help from some experienced players, please. I'd also like LifeSteal, but according to some posts, they're broken? I'm not sure if they still are.

What I am using, is Strength, Defence and Intelligence, because it makes you do tons of damage, you can't take much damage, and you don't use as much mana.

 

Oh, alright. Could you tell me the raw points for skill without armour? I'd maybe like to follow you. One question though: Fire type Defence armours are... defence orientated, which incur walk speed penalties. Why not agility? Thanks for the quick response though. :D
