He just stands there, rapier pointed. As you glance behind you, you feel him inching closer, though you aren't too sure as he looks as though he's in the same spot.

You re-enter your house, not making a single sound. You can sense that your attacker is gone.

You enter the sinkhole to find...corpses. Lots of corpses. +3 Mass for being in a forest

You slowly cross the bridge. Every once in a while, it feels like it might collapse, but it holds out. You reach the end of the bridge. Nut follows, and then Lang. Just as Lykos gets off the bridge, it collapses into the river. Looks like the bridge was at its limit.

"I see. Please go to the mercenary HQ, just outside this building. You can't miss it." She says, still looking over the papers.

You breathe more frost against him, but he holds out. You feel a lucky crossbow bolt get through your scales.

It's an account. Of a battle. It's about a battle where one emperor led a force against an alliance of sorts, and defeated a combined army that was significantly larger than his. It appears to have been won from a near-perfect execution of a calibrated but dangerous plan. This battle also ended the war quickly because of how decisive it was. The emperor had tricked the enemy army by weakening his right flank, allowing his center to push through the enemy center and crush the enemy flanks by encircling them.

Just before you burn it, he snatches it from your hand. "I g-g-guess I'll t-take this...heh...just g-get t-that b-b-brown one...heh" You walk off, and after a while you come across a brown mushroom.

As you do this, you realize the sun is rising. The man screams as a beam of light bursts from the forest canopy, hitting him. "Stay back, intruder." The hooded man says.

You roll to the left as he plants his dagger in the ground. He put so much force into it that he's having trouble pulling it out. You manage to get up just as he pulls out the dagger.

"It's fine." He gets up and offers a handshake. It seems he's perfectly fine. He's not even tired. It eems he just unconditionally surrendered for no apparent reason.

 

"..." I ignored the brown mushroom and walked back to my trek

I pull out Revshard and do a defensive stance,ready to parry if he lands another attack."I wonder why you are this persistent on killing me...If I had nothing to look for,I would just give up and let you fulfill your objective.But no,for now,I am not going to give up..."
I stare at the attacker,determined.

 

I ignore the crossbow bolt and keep attempting to crush him

Or to end a fight that was getting quite repetitive.

"What's your name? And where'd you learn your 'invisible' trick, to put it simply?"

 

We continue running

 

You and your companions travel through the forest. As the sun rises, you get to a small clearing, with a small river snaking through the clearing. The river isn't too deep, and the current isn't too strong.

"Well, to put it bluntly, I'd rather not tell." He says, motioning to his gauntlets.

"Do not intrude this ritual." He says, grabbing a knife. The other hooded men continue to chant, while the man on the pedestal's screams get louder.

You find some herbs that if made into a tea, can help sooth the pain. You also find a piece of cloth that can do fine to bandage your wound properly.

Just when he looks like he's about to be crushed, he somehow manages to get out of your trap. It seems like he isn't all sword and armor after all. He starts attempting to catch his breath as the soldiers continue suppressing fire, which, honestly isn't doing much.

You continue trekking through the forest. Not much of interest, though it seems the sun is rising.

He is about to say something, but he realizes the sun is rising. He glances at you, his eyes saying "We shall me again", before casting a spell of fog and presumably disappearing.

 

"Alright. I know it can be hard sometimes."
I hesitate.
"Well, I'm going to head home. If there's anything you want to ask, ask now."

 

"Alright. I have just one question for you: How did you use electricity to shock me?"

 

I hold up my right ring finger, the one I wear my ring on.
"This."
I say, referring to the ring.
"Putting it in the short version, lighting bolts happened, stuff died, made this ring, and I wouldn't take it off for my life. If it was a non-warm cloudy day, you would've probably gotten smitten several times."

 

I Head back outside, on high alert. Not making any noise

 

I stand still and look at the rising sun,thinking.
A while later,I decide to keep moving and head to the forementioned village.I walk in a slow pace as the kick's pain is still present.As it is nothing serious,I don't plan to waste my time to patch it up.

 

I check if the water is drinkable, and if it is we will drink alittle. Then i take out the last meat in my backpack, give it to Lykos and Lang and alittle to myself. Then before eating i will find the nearest tree that has nuts, and if there are no nuts on the trees i will use my healing powers to grow some, and give them to Nut. Then we all have alittle break and eat
