    Backpacks have straps and larger pockets. you can keep a bedroll in it, and hold some canteens of water (realism wynn would be 1 unused inventory slot)

    Is it bad that one of my classes actually swaps between 12 different bows

    Well no, carrying around 12 bows might be exaggerated, but irl you would never carry a bow with the string attached all the time. You would just be carrying the limbs and string in a pouch all the time. To a wandering traveler you might looks like a dude with 12 long sticks tied to a backpack/satchel.
