Art Pixel Art - Buster Sword

Time to break some Limits:
I was messing with animating pixel art and made the iconic sword from Final Fantasy 7.

If you have any tips please tell me as I'm looking to improve.

 

Interesting. It could use some more detail but I can't really say much about that because it's 32x. The animation is a nice touch, but maybe you could also "sharpen" the blade a little- I know the end isn't really for cutting but it looks like an iron club or something because of that.

 

Thank you for the advice, since I'm trying to fit this onto a model, it gives me fairly limited space so its not too big, however I am working on sharpening it and hope to have it finished alongside the model.

Any art is appreciated, especially since everything in game is represented by a single rectangle right now. -_-
