Builders And Gms To The Rescue!

I'm taking @Yuno F Gasai's kind advice and I'm doing interpretations from GitHub issues to forum speak, in the hopes that some (most? all?) kindly GMs and Builders will come to our rescue and fix some of these issues. I'm going to put the issues here, in batches, of however many makes sense to me. All that you wonderful GMs and Builders have to do, is fix what you can, and let me know, here, that it's been fixed on the build server, PLEASE. We, the rest of the community, will be grateful for your help, and I'll be giving out virtual chocolate chip cookies for fixes! (Ooooh!) Exemplary help will be awarded with a Death by Chocolate virtual (the cake is NOT a lie) cake! (Ooooooh! Ahhhhhh!)

Yuno F Gasai's project, and from which we discussed this project, is his thread Community Project: Filling Holes, so, if anyone finds a hole in the map, please post it to his thread, so that the builders can fix it.

@Ackro and @Selvut283 , can I get the two of you on board to round up help get the word to the other GMs and Builders to enslave get them to volunteer to help?

NOTE: Please remember that items marked as "Fixed" are fixed on the build server, and won't show up in-game until the next map push AFTER they are fixed.

Spoiler: The First Batch

In the lv 49 Quest "An Iron Heart Part I", Duvale wants to have 1 Mechanical piece. After the Quest started and you talk again to him he says he wants 2 pieces.
Can a GM volunteer to fix this, please? #3531 Fixed.

In the Zhight Island quest, Phief refers to Zhight as “Doofbumble Zhight”. Doofbumble isn’t his first name, right? So it shouldn’t be capitalized
Can a GM volunteer to fix this, please? #3600 Fixed

In the Zhight Island quest, when Tirt says “Luckily he decided to claim . . .,” it needs a comma added after the word “Luckily.”
Can a GM volunteer to fix this, please? #3600 Fixed

After completing “Finding the Light”, if you talk to Charlie again, he says “I can’t thank you enough for helping my finding my son!” That first “my” can be either “me” or “us”.
Can a GM volunteer to fix this, please? #3603 Fixed

Craftmas Chaos Fall Damage #3678.
Who fixed this on the build server? Unknown, but it is fixed. Fixed

Escaping the map in the light realm #3801 Fixed
@Selvut283 , didn’t you fix this a while ago, because I seem to remember something about it, and maybe I just forgot to close this one?

The Relic Leggings Puzzle door won't stay open long enough, it stays open for around 2 seconds give or take.
Can a Builder volunteer to fix this, please? #3616 #3916 Fixed

Aldorei elves were spawning on the ocean coast outside Gavel.
I don’t know if this is a GM or Builder issue, but can someone check it, and fix it if it isn’t, please? #3947 Fixed

In his base, Santa’s skin wasn’t working for a while. Does he have his clothes back on, or is he still naked? #4003 Fixed

In the Silverfish Dungeon, when you pass the arrow bridge and walk on the trap, you are supposed to fall in the room, and get pounced by silverfish. The trap wasn’t working right after the Gavel update. Does anyone know if the trap is working, now? Fixed.

Spoiler: The Second Batch

To start The Angry Village quest, Torold says, “My friend Lekal was at the village when it happend.” Can we get a GM to fix that sentence to “My friend, Lekal, was at the village when it happened.”, please. #4130 Fixed

Can a GM check the silverfish dungeon boss re-spawn rate, please? It seems to have been respawning almost immediately after being killed. # 4154 It was made that way.

“The mini dungeon in Thanos for Belua the Unquenchable doesn't teleport back. I tried going in, then going back out and then in again, which failed every time. I had to suicide to leave :/” I don’t know who is responsible for setting teleport areas, but I suspect that we need a builder to fix this, please, or was it a temporary glitch? #4225

At the start of the Drought Sand Quest, Irt says: “Bring me back [24 Water Bottle] and [24 Mashed Insects] as soon as you can.” Actually, the mission can be finished with only [1 water bottle] and [24 Mashed Insects], so, please, can a GM change the dialogue to show that the player only needs [1 water bottle]? This has been fixed, a long time ago, but something happened to give it life, again. #4315. Fixed, again.

The Ghostly Chestplate was being listed as the Ghostly Boots (#0299) after it was identified. Can a GM fix this, or is it something that Jumla would have to fix? #4747 Admin issue.

There are a couple of tree blocks at 198, 17, -2199 that have been trapping players. Would a builder please either raise the leaves or add some at the bottom, to prevent this? #4776 Fixed

In the Pit of the Dead, there seems to be some leftover structure just before the bridge that confused some players. Would a builder take a look at this, and fix it as necessary? #4777

In the “Cook Assistant” quest, the player receives three “Potions of Hunger”. Can the bottles be renamed to what they really are, potions of mana? #4820 Fixed

Are the villages on the ice islands supposed to sound like spiders? Because they are cold, angry, hissing? Or should they sound like regular villagers? #4825 Nothing to Fix. They were born that way.

We have one report of a bug in the craftmas chaos quest, where the player didn't get the room where you fight the summoner. The player saw the dialog and the door didn't open. Would a builder just check this for us and let me know what you find, please? And if it’s broke, fix it, please? #4839

I think this is a great idea, and I will alert the GMs and builders to come and check on this thread once in a while.

Thank you for your support, Ackro! I really do appreciate it.

I really want to improve the usefulness of the GitHub, and I think @Yuno F Gasai had the right idea; make the issues more easily accessed by putting them here, on the forums, in an easier to read form, when appropriate, because more GMs and builders use the forums than the GitHub. I'm looking forward to getting these issues fixed.

My next step will be to find a way to get the issues that require admin attention to their attention in a straight-forward way so that those issues can be handled without taking up a lot of admins' time.

 

Even though not many things require actual admin attention, it would be a good idea to make an efficient, one-way road to the administrators.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't you do the Aldorei things? That issue regarding the elf spawning should be your case, then.

Helllloooooooo!! Where are all of the GMs and builders when you need one? I know, I know, it's finals season, and summer is just. around. the. corner. But still, a minute or two to fix one of these issues, and to get a Chocolate Chip Cookie? Cookieeee, coooooookieeeeeeeeeee.

 

Some of these were already done, although, I agree we should get people to help. I will try to finish all the GM-related issues.

 

I kind of guessed as much, but the builder who was going to help with them, never got back to me, so that I could close some of the oldest ones. AND, until this thread, there really wasn't this much of an open communication route that the Wiki Warriors and the GMs and builders had for use in a concerted effort to improve Wynn and Gavel. Still, a tip-o-the-hat to @Yuno F Gasai for the basic idea.

I better get back to reading through the issues to get enough to open another batch. Thanks, Ackro!

Oh, for the love of Bob! Every statistic, every building, every city, has lists. If you go about building your own base in MC, you have a list, in your head, of what you need in order to survive. My lists are ones that I've filtered out that can be repaired by GMs and builders; I read through the bigger list, the GitHub. I dare you to get dressed tomorrow morning without following a list. I can see it now; put my shoes on, then my socks, then shower, . . . .. LOL!
