    Minecraft:
After my initial creation of traps in Vanilla Minecraft, I didn't especially like the AoE effect of them. I decided to create new traps that would activate when in close proximity of entities once, instead of a constant AoE trap. They're designed for use in both Single and Multiplayer survival, though it is advised to use it on smaller Multiplayer servers.

Traps can be crafted (placed on the ground) by holding the Primary ingredient in your 1st slot, and the secondary ingredient in your off-hand. When crafted, you'll hear 2 noises: The Crafting Sound, related to the trap, and a higher-pitch enderman scream after a second or so, that tells you that the trap has been primed.

    Landmine:
The Landmine trap can be crafted using 1 Iron Pressure Plate (Primary) and 5 TNT (Secondary). When a player or mob steps over the trap, it will instantly explode, causing large amounts of explosion damage and (most likely) throwing them into the air.

    Watch your step!
    Blaze Summoner:
The blaze summoner trap can be crafted using 24 Blaze Powder (Primary) and 1 Book (Secondary). This trap was more designed for Multiplayer, because when a player or mob steps too close to the trap, it will summon 3 "Summoned Blazes" that will attack the player.

2015-09-21_13.48.36.png I wonder what spells that book contained...
    Lightning:
The Lightning trap can be crafted with 8 Iron Blocks (Primary) and 1 Redstone Block (Secondary). Any player or mob who is in range when the trap is activated will be struck with lightning.

It seems that the electricity in that redstone was supercharged by the iron.
    Flame:
The flame trap can be crafted with 64 Netherrack (Primary) and 8 Fire Charges (Secondary). It creates a 3x3 area of fire centred on the nearby mobs and players when activated.

Hot stuff straight from the nether!
    Alarm:
The Alarm trap is crafted using 16 Note Blocks (Primary) and 1 Daylight Sensor (Secondary). This one is a little harder to show off, it will play a higher-pitch wolf howl whenever a player or mob steps too close, which will alert you if it's nearby.

    The Machine and Code:
Important: Please do not claim the code in the command blocks as your own, credit me when using them in situations such as Minigames and Multiplayer Servers.
I'm not the best at tutorials or single command block creations, but here's my shot at it:
