How Does +... Spell Dmg Work?

Im High level Mage and all builds say HIGH SPELL DMG My Armour gives like 400+ spell dmg(no%). Usually i do 5k dmg with + spell dmg is it just 5.4 k?! Or is it better and idk? Please answer :D

 

As far as I can tell, spell damage means bonus to the damage dealt by spells (like meteor, teleportation and ice snake).

 

+Spell Dam. Increases the amount of damage a spell inflicts when casted. So for example:

I do 3 dam arrow storm 5 dam arrow sheild and 7 dam for arrow bomb.. If I get a helmet which gives 5+ spell damage. My spells should increase to 8 dam arrow storm 10 dam arrow sheild and 12 dam for arrow bomb.

All builds you searched are probably outdated, thats before the spell damage nerf that made rare + spell damage much weaker, thats also probably the reason why you aren't seeing any effects if you went according to the forum builds

 

Spell dmg builds are still viable though so it's not really outdated

 

Definitely not as effective as before ;-;
