    Say you are wearing a Cancer that gives -150% spell and melee damage, would that mean you would do absolutely no damage with spells or melee attacks?

    It would theoretically mean that you heal the enemies by 50% of your damage

    Well, unless you have other items that have positive spell damage/melee damage. Then it can balance it out a bit.

    If it is the attack speed you want, you can go with a max atk speed Cancer(+17?) and a minimal atk speed Taurus(-7) to get more than enough atk speed, then Taurus would balance the negative proporties of Cancer.
