The Door Of Time -[ Theory ]-

Hey guys!

I've been thinking about this for a long time now, and the more I think about it the more it sounds like my ideas could actually be leading to something here. So, without further ado, let's get into my theory!


The Door of Time

So, for those of you who don't know, The Door of Time [Lvl 15] is an area to the South of Ragni. It is located near Time Valley, and is separated from the Ragni area by the Pigmen's Ravines [Lvl 15]. The Door of Time itself is a massive wooden door covered in vines, giving it a very ancient look.

So, we do not know what it is meant for. As far as I know, it is not visited in any quests (though I did have to travel past it a few times). The only other mysterious door like this present in Wynncraft is the entrance to Gavel, and it lead to a new province.

The Theory

If you haven't figured it out by now, my theory has to do with The Door of Time leading to a new province or realm. I'm sure many people have thought of this, but I haven't seen it in the forums. My theory is that it is this Door of Time that will eventually lead to a new province of the past, where the player can experience first hand the greed of the humans that led to the release of the Undead into Wynn.

For those who are unfamiliar with the storyline of Wynn, here is a brief summary:

The Humans were prospering in Ragni, and so they expanded and founded Nemract, the port town. As they began to explore further, they came across the Roots of Corruption, where they found emeralds, and greed took over. As a result of mining deeper and deeper, the humans awoke the undead. As the humans and undead waged war, the villagers (a new race) sailed in and founded Maltic. An alliance was made to bring the villagers and humans together, warding off the undead from cities and restoring general piece, with a new wave of recruits to ward off evil.

So, hopefully my idea now makes sense. In this "Wynn of the Past," the player will get to see first hand what has happened.

Theory #2 (Lucky you, you get two theories!)

One theory I just came up with typing this is that the Villagers new of this Door of Time when they sailed here, and it is the actual reason that they sailed here. Maybe one day, the Villagers will open the Door of Time, revealing its horrors, or wonders. Who knows? Only they do...

I have a few theories about the thing myself, but I can't really be apart of that group.

I think that the door is linked to the pony gate in rodoroc as a fast travel or quest thing.

Maybe it is the start of a dungeon. We have already seen about 3 or 4 of them, would a back tracked lvl 90 in wynn dungeon be a surprise?

My last idea is that it will be past of some elaborate plot (probably the story line) that deals with time travel just like the other few quests in wynn.

I have a theory that it is the connection between death's realm and the wynncraft realm itself...

1. Someone please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the staff have said it won't lead to a new province.
2. The villagers never came to Wynn on purpose, the ship just went off course and washed up on the beaches of Wynn. (Again, correct me if I'm wrong)
3. It's currently open, so it'll most likely have a use in the next wave of new quests.

 

If time gets closer the closer you are to the door, then logically going inside should start you back in time, right? Well the question is, how far back would you be sent? One theory is that you go back further the further you are from the door. Another theory is that it sends you back to when the door was made.... which could quite possible the beginning of time itself.

 

Those aren't theories, those are guesses.
The first one has been suggested countless times and the second one is the same as the first.

Well if you think about it it was closed before gavel came out but when gavel was released the door opened

 

The door of time might be used to go back in time and prevent the decay in gavel and the dark forest and areas like that are areas of light

 

That creates way too many paradoxes on whether or not we need to go back in time to stop the decay due to it already being stopped.

I think it's been said it won't lead to a new province but the idea that it would lead to Wynn in the past seems pretty cool, be able to watch the corruption unfold like how you sort of get to see the Decay unfold in Taproot.

But let's be real, it's just a place where time passes at one second per second.

 

Many of you have said that people have speculated about the new province before, sorry, I wasn't aware of that.

I also do not know if Grian has said it will not lead to a new province. But it would still be pretty cool :D
