Loot Grinding Level 70

mt mage has had a serious case of the ''quest overlevels'' and is level 70 using sage (lvl 47 wand) and various other armor for around lvl 50. What is the best place to get good stuff? I'm particularly looking for an ethereal as my new wand.

 

There are some tier IV loot chests in the Dernel Jungle, and grinding in ToL helps. And there is in the cave right in front of Troms a tier I and III chest.
But hey I did get my Ethereal from Gurgu :/

 

I'm grinding in ToL with my lv92 archer, does that make it worse?

 

92?! Jesus... ToL is good only until 81,when you reach thanos vaults

no not that, I mean I'm grinding for my level 70 mage in ToL with my archer because my mage can't go inside yet

Trying to suggest stuff that has a fixed location, since grinding is random.
The Olux wand is a good quest item you should have from Shadow Of The Beast. I had to wear Blue Mask to use it because my build was different. The relic wand is great for 55-65, but you're past that. Bob's is coming up at level 75.
I overpaid in the trade market for Ethereal. I doubt 10LE is the going rate. But I have never regretted overpaying for it, because I still haven't found a wand that is clearly superior for all occasions.
For armor, the clock set is pretty good for mages, that will be useful in a few levels. The armor from Aldorei 2 is better than some for mages.
Everything else is grind or pay in the Trade Market.

 

I am using the olux wand, but it's starting to get a bit weak. I've got to agree that 10LE is a bit much for an ethereal, I'd pay 5 max

 

I've been grinding, and of course I've gotten maelstrom, scythe, and chakram but obviously not ethereal lol

 

Why not sell one of the items you've gotten and get an etheral in the market? It's a very good wand if you have a suitable build for it.

Kander Forest is the part east of Dark Forest. The place where Lexdale is.
And there is a big reason why you aren't getting much from a level 70 area with a level 92 archer.
You know that there is a 3% chance you don't get xp from a mob for every level you are away from it?
Well, they added a similar thing with drop chances. So in other words, you have a -66% loot chance if you fight ToL mobs with your archer, unless the loot chance thing has a different percentage to xp chances.

 

grinding with mage in ToL works very well with +56% loot bonus now that I can go inside, I have gotten so far in 3 days

Which is the exact reason why it's better grinding there at a similar level. You get about 2-3 legendaries per hour at the same level without good gear. Which fits the fact you got 7. So if you had a good wand (you don't even need ethereal, Sanare works almost as well and is far cheaper. There are also other good wands at that level) and good loot gear, you could get more legendary items. Which means you would then get Ethereal quicker.
