Wynn Math - Identification

Did you ever asked how much emeralds you have to identify?
Well you can see it but how is it calculated?
So here I'll try to explain how much it is calculated (at least for legendaries and mythics)

Spoiler: Legendary

y=6x+30

Now easier
[Identifying cost] = 6*[lv of the item] + 30

Spoiler: Mythic

y=18x+30

Now easier
[Identifying cist] = 6*[lv of the item] + 30

Spoiler: Examples

I have this unidentified lv 4-8 legendary chestplate.
It is identified Blessed Wrappings which is lv 5.
So it is [AMT] = 6*5+30
So you have to pay 60 emeralds.

Spoiler: Usage

If you have an unidentified item, let's say a legendary 92-96 chestplate, it could be Leo, Aquarius or Taurus.
Then you have to GUESS what it is OR just simply use this method.

You might question "How do I calculate it then?"
The answer is:

([Amt] - 30)/6


So for example here it costs 600 emeralds to identify
then it is Aquarius because
600-30 = 570
570/6 = 95
and Aquarius is lv 95

in terms that if I id an item once and get a certain item and if id another one and get the same item it wont cost me the same

 

This happened to me, too. There's no set, single, cost, just a general amount of emeralds, depending on level and rarity.

 

Wait... if you id more items at the same time... it costs MORE?!

 

no, it just means that the prices can vary everytime

just checked with stacked unique wands, the cost doesn't vary between items of the same kind.
this means it got updated in the Gavel update (or later).
