Don't Modernize Wynn

    Ok, this post is my reaction to people talking about Wynn becoming modern (and this is b4 the April fools post). Before I get to my point, just look at runescape. There are 2 versions. Old School and Normal. Normal runescape is where the creators took their fun game, modernized it, and guess what now? It's trash. And guess what also? Most people play the Old School version (based in medieval times) more then the current one (modernized version).
    In Wynn, people said they're gonna modernize it as much as gavel, and please, just don't do it. Modernizing may be interesting, but in time, people will be talking about the old version. So I have 2 suggestions.
    A) Don't modernize Wynn. Go ahead and modernize fruma and do that stuff, Go edit gavel, but please, just trust me, it's better not to modernize Wynn. Keep Wynn a medieval styled place.
    B) Make an old school Wynn where we can go in the lobby and chose to play in the old school version (by preserving the map and making it a separate world).

    Also, I'm tagging GMs and Builders because they are the ones I'm targeting.
    And that's all.

    They're not going to modernize wynn. If they did, they'd lose the playerbase.

    Keep in mind we don't actually know much about what time period we're in. Maybe it's medieval, maybe it's post-apocalyptic.

    In any case, the Content Team isn't going to "modernize" Wynn in such a way that it's completely different from what makes it so good.

    Go google April Fools day. I'm pretty sure it happens on the 1st of April and wait a minute. That post that said they were modernizing Wynn was on. Wait.. No.. April 1st !!!

    Gavel isn't modernized, and neither is Wynn. There is no way they could do that without ruining the server. They even have it as a rule in the GM doc: "16. Remember, this is a medieval game. Do not put electronic stuff in it. Magic yo." And the builds pretty much follow the quests/main storyline of both Gavel and Wynn. What modernizing are you even referring to? What/where did you hear this?

    I agree with you. The only thing REMOTELY modern is Llevigars Power plant, which I agree is kinda modern. Thats it

    Yeh but a fudging Nuclear Powerplant kidna stretches it a bit. But I actually like it. Wynncraft still stays Mid evil. With a bit of Modern

    Tbh, Runescape wasn't "modernized".
    Everyone knew it couldn't stay on that version for ever, since the graphics and the gameplay were both totally outdated.
    The only reason people prefer it, is because they were/are used to it, and didn't give the new system a chance.
    Also, you can play both versions.

    I've never even heard Wynn was becoming modernized. It's a horrible change to the game too. There are stupid-ass suggestions that have been crazy as going that STUPIDLY far. Don't take word from others m8. Get some cold, hard evidence, then we can discuss this further, but for now..there's nothing supporting the fact the staff are going to modernize Wynn. So, I'm just guessing a few things, you got joked on, some people joke BEFORE and AFTER april fools (it's not like we're serious ALL the time); misleading, wrong, useless, information was used by others or lead to you to make this thread; you've made it up, and thought it was a good joke or somewhat of an idea to talk about (not truly accusing, just possibly). There's many things that could've led for you to create this discussion, but for now, it's just useless to talk about, with no evidence of any kind of change to occur.
