Requesting Gm And Builder Help

I am asking this as an asst. admin on our GitHub:

We are looking for some volunteers from the ranks of both GMs and Builders to take a look at our GitHub, on a consistent basis, but not on a continuous basis, in order to help with fixing GitHub issues. If you are willing to help, please let me know. And if you are willing to help, please start with the oldest issues, and proceed towards the newest ones, as time permits. If you fix an issue, please note it on the GitHub and sooner, much sooner than later, we will close the issue. The issues that we need your help with will be tagged, usually, with "Quest", "Item", "NPC", or "World", but feel free to look at any other issue if it interests you.

smh. It's alive and well, and solving a lot of MC related errors, as well as Wynn issues, but not as many as I know that we can. If GMs and Builders can take a little time, once a week or so, to help, then we should be able to pare things down to issues being left that need admin attention.

 

I think I could help, I like fixing broken stuff (I also know a bit about GMing so I could fix that stuff too)
although I don't know how it works that much; do I need permissions/ranks on it or anything?

 

No, you do not. Just sign up for a GitHub account, start with the oldest issues, and fix whatever you can, at your own pace. I really appreciate your help, too. Thank you.

 

@Villageacules has just closed about a dozen build problems. When the map gets pushed/updated, you will see them.

Technically I could "volunteer". @Moe_Ronickah I assume you know what a GM and a builder can fix? Would you be so kind to add two new tags, called "GM" and "Builder".
This way, we can swiftly sort out what people in the Content Team can actually fix.

 

Yes, I do know what GMs and builders *should* be able to fix, but sometimes, GM "A" can't fix what what GM "B" made. I wish that I had the power to add tags, however, neither Trixter nor I have sysop access. Until the admins find someone to take over where Tama left off, I don't see new tags getting added. Rok's asked Grian about it, but grigri didn't say anything. Probably because they are looking for a qualified and experienced coder. I'm thinking about just putting requests in this thread, and tagging various GMs and builders, in the hope that we can get rid of these minor issues, so that the bigger ones aren't lost in the forest. AND, thank you for "volunteering"!

 

Well, anything works as long as we can easely see what we can fix! ;D

 

Agreed. I just need to sit down and simplify those issues that builders and GMs can handle, and start posting them. Probably this weekend.
