Jesus the salt is real in this. Never thought GlitchedSlayer was so salty about dis stuff............ I mean everyone is salty but this amount of salt is insane

 

I was pretty mad mainly because my first class was mage but it was crap. I then played Assasain and a month later it got nerfed so it was crap. I then played mage and a month later, this happened.

So its really just this on top of everything else, but im over it.

 

Sadly, your argument is fallacious, because you miss a very important point, the raw damage done by weapons of each class. While those percentages may be correct, and I don't know one way or the other, you are not comparing them while addressing the number that is being multiplied. Mages have the weakest weapons, per level, of all classes, and there is the added consideration of attack speed multiplier. Therefore, when you fail to include that in your considerations, you make a poor argument.

This is why the admins and GMs have been rebalancing the stats. They have the full data tables in front of them, and they have the equations that are used to produce that data. They should have made it clear that the formulae were wrong, and announced it, first, before the changes were made.

Also, my primary, and currently my only class being used is a mage. Yes, the change in damage output is noticeable. Yes, I fully understand that there was an error in the equation used to calculate spell damage. Yes, I am a water/intel mage (really, if you know me, can you see me being a mage that didn't use intel?). Yes, I have several wands that didn't work very well prior to the patch, however, they are really nice now. Oh, and I have several wands for specific mobs, by damage type.

tl/dr: Kraby, you can't legitimately rely on only one number in a comparison where many numbers apply. Your argument is fallacious.
Admins and GMs never promised you a rose garden. People are human.

Not really, there where spell dammage based assassins/warriors/archers. But because of the 400% meteor mages had the most USAGE of spelldmmg. NEXT NERF IS ARCHER LOL

 

mage didnt get nerf, it is spell dmg that is nerfed

just like how it is not multihit/arrow stom that is nerfed, it is the life and mana steal got nerfed


and i dont actually see heal got nerfed, most of the mage i see can heal a lot of his health i am talking about 10k per heal

level 80 with it. (I won an auction for rewind, but the guy who sold has yet to show up, so I don't have it yet)

 

I am able to grind, I think the negative effects of this update are exaggerated, i got 33% xp and i'm level 94 with 157% xp bonus today and it wasn't that hard. I have seen the negative effects this update causes to grinding, but I can easily live with it.

 

Pre-Gavel: "omg mage is weak it's the worst class y no buff????"

Post-Gavel: "omfg y is mage so op wtf is wrong with u buffing it so much?"

This is why we can't have nice things.


The next nerf should be to all the salty idiots in the community that make this shit happen.

This would probably be so annoying that nobody would play archer because all of your inventory would be stacks arrows, not to mention potions too.

I hate my life, I spend hours getting an assassin to 75 a year ago then they nerf it, then I spend like 20 hours to get a lvl 80 mage, and guess what? THEY NERFED IT.

Please, please, everyone, do not make something up off of the top of your head in a discussion. First, it really distracts both readers and participants from the discussion. Second, when someone does something like this, it brings into question anything else that you have said in this discussion, and it can bring into question anything else that you may have contributed to elsewhere. An honest mistake is an honest mistake. Everyone makes them, we correct our mistakes, we learn, and we grow. However, just making something up and "throwing it out there" is really disingenuous in a discussion.

@TEST_CHARACTER01 and @Ventus333 , while there are some characteristics in common between a flame war and an interesting discussion between two, or more, sides of an issue, I, personally, don't see where this is a flame war. I don't see personal attacks occurring anywhere in this discussion, and there is at least one mod involved in the thread, who is surely following it, as he is also a GM. I see a lot of point and counterpoint occurring, and that is the hallmark of a good discussion. Salt =/= flame. Further, I believe that your comments will have the positive effect, if they already haven't, of reminding everyone to take it easy, and keep the discussion on a point-by-point level, and to not resort to personal attacks.
