    Hello Wynncraftians!

So I was wandering around the province when I came across ye ole' starting NPC for the quest, "Lord of the Clock", a spin-off of the popular movie series, "Lord of the Rings". I then noticed just how isolated Bulbo was from Hobbit-kind. I wanted to know why.

    2016-03-24_21.02.19.png

I immediately started digging around in his home when I came across a book with the title, "An Abrupt Voyage". This is obviously a reference to the book the character, Bilbo Baggins, writes in the movie: "There And Back Again".

It could also be a reference to the title of the first Hobbit movie, "An Unexpected Journey", but either works because they both reference to a long journey. So to where? Well the dictionary definition of the word "voyage" is "a long journey involving travel by sea or in space". Now assuming those eagles can't fly in space, we'll say he had a long journey on boat.

So he had a long voyage on the sea. Well the only possible ocean where he could have voyaged on is the ocean between Gavel and Wynn. This makes sense because many Hobbits live in a community in Gavel. So how did he come to travel to Wynn? There are two explanations for this:
    • Bulbo was banished from the Shire in Gavel for having possession of the Insantic Clock and refusing to give it up. Lost and helpless, he boards a boat scheduled to land in Wynn. This choice is ruled out by the fact that in the quest Bulbo states,"Not all too long ago I recovered this clock after it fell out of the pocket of a man engaged in battle with another". Which implies two humans dropped the ring, meaning Bulbo most likely received the ring while already in the Wynn Province.
    • Bilbo decided to go on an adventure when Gundalf asks him to accompany him on a journey to the Wynn Province. Bulbo then builds a home and finds an "Insantic Clock" which he takes.

Nice thread, it actually helped me see the relations between LoTR and this Quest more clearly

Also, I personally think he originates from Ydorap, land of rip-offs.

What if he came from Fruma instead? That would be an interesting quest line, about Bulbo's past.

    Here's something maybe you'll understand:

"Because we explained Bulbo had a long voyage on sea to end up where he was, he must have come from Gavel. Here are two reasons why he might have made that journey".

Wynncraft is Lotr. Think. There are two elves in the book. Elrond and Legolas. The starter npcs of Aldorei's secret are Elrund and Legolus.
    Coincidence? I think not.
