Xp Bonus Question

So I understand it boosts your XP by that amount but.... Not really understanding it really. Say I was doing WynnExcavation Site D and am turning it in with 0% XP bonus and a DXP bomb. I would be getting exactly 1,200,000 XP from this quest. Now say I was wearing exactly 100% XP bonus and had a DXP bomb, bomb would make it 1,200,000 but... Then what does the 100% XP bonus add? I'm not quite sure how this works so I need clarification.... Thanks!

 

I'm not sure the xp bonus you get from your armor gets factored in but if you ate supposed to get 1, 200, 00 xp from wynnexacvation d and there is a xp bomb active you will get twice as much (2, 400, 000)

 

WynnExcavation Site D usually gives 600,000. I already had factored in the DXP bomb.

 

The XP from all quests is set and your XP bonus for your armor or weapons does not have any effect on it. Only world- or server-wide effects of 2- or 3-XP will multiply your quest XP. It's set so that there is balance to quest XP and no one has to worry about getting high XP armor for quests, or, at least, it is supposed to be. Why the caveat? Because every now and then someone argues this point.

That's weird... I always seem to get more when I put on my XP gear when turning in quests... Because I'm now leveling up my Mage and I have a level 86 ninja, and I didn't turn in his quests with XP armor, but with Mage I have been.... And it seems to boost it a little, or I'm just crazy.. I don't know.

 

But I heard lots of people taking about turning in Qira Hive with full xp armor to get more xp ?:/

The 100% is added to the original XP multiplier (100%), therefore you will get (100+100)% =200%XP
When dealing with DXP, it is counted after the XP bonus, aka if you have 100%XP gears you will have
(100+100)% x2 = 400% XP
the same goes for when handing in quests

My understanding is that it's: original exp X (armor multiplier + DXP + Zhight potion + 100%)
So in your case with no Zhight potion active and a 100% armor exp multiplier on 600k exp: 600,000 X (100% + 100% + 0% + 100%) = 1,800,000 exp

I don't think that's correct.

 

Have any of you heard of observational bias? You can check the Wiki, here, for the article on Experience Points. Now, if that has changed, I would certainly like to know about it, and I believe that it would be in the update notes.

Incorrect. Armour and gear do not affect Quest XP, as Moe said.
