Stop Illegal Distribution Of Minecraft.

This thread is going to talk about illegal distribution of Minecraft, meaning the websites that add illegal viruses to the Minecraft launcher and then advertise all over the internet that minecraft is 'free'.

As you can see, this company has installed a virus onto their website and are linking to it, drawing kids and gullible people to 'get' Minecraft.

But they might not have viruses!

But, this is still stupid and illegal.

They are redistributing Minecraft, a game that is supposed to be $23.99 (€21.29). They're giving a 25 dollar game for free to everybody who clicks the ad. Sure, people give others minecraft accounts, or sell their account for less than a real account is worth, but that's usually friends or only 1 minecraft account. They're illegally generating Minecraft accounts and then giving viruses at the same time.


I'm informing the Wynncraft community just in case, but I know many of you are smart and know these are fake.

Those Ads are randomly selected. Most of the time, they link to malware or fake programs.

I find them pretty hilarious, and overly obvious to be fake.
Most of the time the name is written in this weird green color, and there's a generic minecraft picture on the background

If you believed the ad, you are kind of an idiot. Why would you click on an ad for 'free minecraft?' Just do god**** chores, you lazy bums who fall for that, and then buy it, it's not that hard.

Too bad I deleted my screenshots a while ago, I remember, I had a screenshot of one of those ads, with a creeper enderdragon, it was a great game! I played try to click off the ad and then it killed my computer.

 

The best fake minecraft ads are the ones that show either A. The creeper enderdragon (it looks so fake it's hilarious) or B. Horrible Minecraft clones that literally are Minecraft, but with a different character design

 

Younger kids (like 5-8) don't a,ways know the difference between fake and real when it comes to these things. They don't think it may give them a virus or its not real. I've seen so many of these things it makes me puke.

I've seen these advertisements everywhere, just tainting the internet with false advertisements.... It makes me sad how these "companys" are trying to trick the innocent's mind into playing minecraft for free. I mean, come on, minecraft costs $26. That ain't much, right?

 

Maybe then just make it easier on yourself and get an Ad Blocking extension? It's less clicks than it would be to disable/close the advertisement. If you're too young and uninformed to do it, then have a parent do it.

Generically, I meant to say I agreed with you. I did go on a little rant about how Wynncraft has the rating system that XenForo (The system the forums are based off of) disabled. But eh, I meant to say I agreed with you, in a nutshell.

 

Isn't that called "Like" ? Is it something else, like -1, 0, +1? Not too familiar with XF's feature, or what you're talking about.

 

I'm probably going to miss some, because I'm going by my prior knowledge, but Wynncraft only has Like enabled. The possible ones to enable (The ones I remember) are:
Like - Dislike - Agree - Disagree - Support - No Support - Informative - Useful - Optimistic - Old - Rude - Dumb (Usually disabled for good reasons) and.. I forget the others, if there are any.
