Lore Check/question

I read the lore again on the wiki and (my interpretation may be false) it seems that Bob tried to fight the Corrupter of Worlds and lost while receiving some sort of corruption sickness that led to his death. Since the player beats the Corrupter of Worlds, but Bob doesn't the player should be stronger than Bob's Reincarnation at that point instead of being SO much weaker in the actual battle.
Summary: Since the player beats CoW before Bob, doesn't that mean the player should be stronger than Bob?

 

Bob was too old to fight CoW, so... I think he was rusty at the time

 

IIRC, Bob is never 100% confirmed to actually die after fighting CoW. And plus, his reincarnation has been fighting players for years now.

 

He was mad old, I don't think a 70 or 80 year old, 2 meter tall, blocky guy could take out a weird creature who's name is CoW.

 

CoW probably isn't the boss of the corruption, he (or she) probably lives in the nether.

Be careful with what you read. Me and the theorist group made the mistake of believing all the lore that was written down (be it wiki or forums) were up to date. Some of them are really outdataed.

 

Have you read the lore? It is presumed/strongly suggested that CoW or CORRUPTER of Worlds is the boss of the CORRUPTION.

 

He was so far out of his prime it's ridiculous and I'm guessing that the boss in Reincarnation is him at an earlier stage or even at his prime thus explaining him being so much more powerful than the player at that level. Also he may have not fought CoW, it's just suggested in the lore, and on Dead Island, the quest there states that a warrior from Ragni killed the creature there, but it was to late. Think about it.

 

Hm... I always thought that Bob killed the beast and that was it but I see ur point. Only issue: it said that the beast he fought was in a dark land but when he fought the beast Dead Island was Alive Island, so it wouldn't have been dark.
