What Is This?

So I was wondering through the molten heights and I found the old Dogun city. I checked out things if there was any secrets and I found this. If you continue on from the entrance, there's a tower head inside it and you will see this.


If you head up, you will see a piece of paper, if you go towards it, it says this

I have no idea what this says.

Then another book (I think it is)


Also, if this is found, don't hurt me ;-;

 

The Story of the Doguns is just a page on a wall now ;-;

 

I would read those books ;-; Grian! where is my GAVEL LORE AT!

 

It speaks of war because according to the books of Ancient Rodoroc, the dwarves were once in a massive war.

 

I think I remember something about that. But what's with the note with some letters missing and the code red thing?

 

It would appear, that the tower was a military stronghold. Considering their location, it wouldn't be shocking if there was a fire.

A possible lore at this point for Gavel based off of everything we've found would be this:

Before Decay:

The villagers, dwarves, and elves were all species of Gavel, the villagers and dwarves fought in a war(just inferring), the villagers were victorious, the dwarves were exiled/agreed/wanted to build cities only underground. During this, the elves decided that the villagers were greedy.(possibly they wanted land from the dwarves? Canyon of the lost etc.) The elves moved into their restricted valley.

During Decay:

Then, the decay came, creating all these random hostile mobs in Gavel, as they are spawns of the decay. Around this time, some genius greedy money maker decided to make guard golems to defend stuff. During this period of time, Cinfras and Llevigar must've come up. As they were located in critical trading points(Cinfras being at the center, easy trades), and Llevigar being there as an inter-province trade point.




It's not great, but I'm sure it's something close.

However, you appear to be near Rodoroc, so there are many military towers, so it would definitely be that...

 

I found this a while ago. I found the place interesting. I think this likely links to the 'Dwarves Wars' mentioned just before Gavel was released. I've referred to them as the Darkness War since I found them. I didn't see the Code Red thing though.

The letters missing I'm guessing, since it was a paper, was damaged. But the message reads this:

"The History of the Doguns"

 

Maybe... I don't think it fits though.

 

It's the closest I could get to it, and it makes sense.

 

Books and papers in item frames.

 

The tower which all this is located is super close to a relic...
