Soo... I was planning on writing some sort of short story, based off the 4 characters of Wynncraft. (Archie, Walter, Marion, Assad, hopefully you understand what I'm referencing here). Also looking for writers, but that's not the point of this thread. I wanted to discuss the topic, and see what people thought about the idea. For example...

Q: Will quests be involved?
A: Definitely. Probably not every single quest, but at least the iconic ones.

Q: Who will be telling the story?
A: Switching between perspectives.

Q: How will you implement some features of the server, such as skill points or spells?
A: I am actually not sure yet.

Q: How will it be written?
A: Google Drive is simple for writing and sharing documents. Also, I am planning on making the writing style kind of like the Percy Jackson series.

Q: Will you be the only writer?
A: I hope not! Message me to join.

Oh, and can someone give me a better name for mage? Marion doesn't really fit.

Probably Marge? Idk that's all I can think of for the mage.
Also, I think a lot of people would like it more if you switched perspectives. Because not everyone is a warrior player *Cough* me *Cough*

How about Fier, Chak, Mael, and Ethe? I like those names better.

 

As an ex-lore writer I got some advice.
1) ignore the skill points, its too damn hard to write about them.
2) if you get another writer make sure you both write in a similar fashion.
3) post the story in nemract's bar.
4) try to insert the item lore too.

I don't even play Warrior that much, I just thought that class was the main focus. I'll do switching perspectives.

I'm trying to make the names sound like the classes (Archer, Warrior, Mage, Assassin)

1) I was thinking about it, and yea, I"m just going to ignore them.
2) First I need writers!
3) I'm cut them up into sections (Chapters? Idk) and post them
4) Will do!

-The Ancients
-"The Eye"

 

So? This is the story of the player - or, in this case, players.

How are you planning on including the characters? Have them travel as a group? Hace them get different POVs? Or will they only meet eachother at like an end fight?

Is it possible for me to help write? I had a bit of a story on the ice canyon and an adventurer from it. Plus I've wrote at least 5+ stories on my own on word docs and stuff.
