Craftmas Chaos Idea

Hi, welcome !
Recently I posted a thread about the way theories are made (link here : https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/to-the-community-about-the-theories.113811/), and now I feel like I should give an example (this is a work in progress don't kill me yet).

Yesterday I completed the Craftmas Chaos quest with my archer, and I found something that I completely missed the first time I finished it :

It made me think : was this addressed before ? What can we connect to this ? Who is this "hero" ? What is it that Santa saw ? What precisely caused us to "over shoot" ?
I now need data, and this is where I need your help : if you have the slightest idea about either of this questions, we can share thoughts and discoveries here, so hat maybe one day those questions will be answered. I already have a few locations and threads that I wish to investigate, but I do not want to influence your original train of thought, so I'll wait a bit.

This could be a temporal paradox. The player's actions of time travelling has resulted in him altering the timeline and in turn changing the outcome of the Craftmas Chaos story. Basically YOU are the hero in the tales, but that tale only came to existence as a result of your time travels.

As Net said above, you are the hero in the tales.

I need to remind the other theorists about the "Dark" crystal and what happens when you Time travel with it...

This could perhaps be a major breakthrough. Thanks for making it a thread!

Okay, I know there is the aspect that the player might be the hero and all, that the dark thing Santa saw was his death, and that it's the crystal that caused us to overshoot, I very well see that. BUT, there are a few holes : Tom talks about a hero that travels through time AND the entire province to bring peace, but when the player traveled through time, he only saved Selchar, didn't he ? And there is also the dark crystal, who is called "Corruption Relic Shard". I find that quite interesting

 

I'm not much of a theorist, but what if the Hero is Bob? Remember he fought the boss on Gateway Island, saving the province. Heck, he did everything to save the province.

 

Just because you travel through time doesn't mean you have to save the whole province too in that instant. Right at that moment, he traveled through time and saved Selchar, and he also saved Wynn from WynnExcavation. Though that may not be what we have to defeat to save the province of Wynn, he will most likely save the province another time,just not neccesarily in that quest.

 

I thought about it too, because obviously there is the whole Door of Time aspect

 

We have zero evidence that Bob fought a boss on Gateway. And for someone "who did everything to save the province", all we know is that he fought zombies in Ragni and Troms for like, 40 years, until he vanished near Nesaak.

 

As I said, not much of a theorist xD

But hey! That was my first debunked theory!

 

Is that all Bob is known for ? He seemed to be pretty popular around the province...
Oh and I just thought of something, was Bob a human, a villager or something else ?

 

Bob is supposedly human, being a master of all the classes (and presumably elements, they haven't said since the update for Gavel).

 

So common sense says it's the player, but you could actually be onto something. I picked up on the fact that it was called Relic stone when I first saw it, but thought nothing of it. But now that you bring it up again, perhaps this hero could be connected to the relics. You may be onto something. I need to think this over a bit.

He has a hero who served the province for years. We assume he is human, but I personally think there is evidence that Bob could be Dernic. But that's not important here. I dont think at least...

 

Maybe that future is one where WynnExcavation succeeds in their evil plans? If you do all the quests in order, you haven't even started the WynnExcavation quests. And with you not being present in that timeline, no-one was able to stop WynnExcavation and the world (well at least Selchar) became corrupted? Wait what

 

It was pretty much confirmed that nilrem went through the door of time in his 'note' in his house, perhaps he has an effect like you travling but on a much grader scale, going and raising/training people just as bob wished; the notes he received were also located at the relics so ya know- a corrupt relic hints that he may be involved in some sense

 

Alright, for future reference, let me explain the confusing af quest named Craftmas Chaos.

Tom tells you to go ask Santa why he hasn't been delivering presents.

So Santa send you back in time to get the crystal.

And so you go back to the present after retrieving the crystal.

But then you overshot the destination and landed 60 years into the future.

But Santa somehow has the crystal and that corrupted him.

So you kill Santa and go back in time to the present.

And so for some reason you give Santa the shard.

But since you gave him the shard, he will end up destroying Selchar 30 years later.

And then the past you comes in and kills Evil Santa.

[Insert never ending loop]

And now since Santa has been delivering presents for the past 30 years, Tom never asked you to go to Santa.

So technically you never even started the quest.
