The New Legendary Armour And Weapons

It is very confusing why for example Steamjet Walkers (lvl 84 boots) which has +1400 health (may be wrong) is worse than Stalagmites (lvl 67 Boots) which has +1700 health (again may be wrong) in terms of armour. In terms of weapons for example Empire builder (lvl 79 wand and cant remember what damage it does) is worse than Ethereal (lvl 70- wand and once again I cant remember what damage it does).

 

You can't just compare items by their default health-boost...

Empire has 8 Powder slots even tho it was like no damage

 

I find it entertaining how you didn't notice that Empire Builder had the most slots out of any item in the game.

 

To see if an item is better you need to compare all of the stats on an item and also see if they fit into your build you can't just base them off of dmg and health like @Ascended Kitten said

 

After Gavel, you can't compare items like this anymore, it's a lot more thought-intensive. You can't just look at which one has the bigger numbers, you actually have to think about how it fits into your build and playstyle. For example, Capsaicin has fairly average health and negative health regen, but it provides amazing melee and spell damage boosts and a good walk speed bonus. Then we have Statue, which gives around 10,000 health but has a -140% walk speed debuff.

 

If you think that max health is the only point in having armour, then I would suggest buying a nice statue. This is the highest health item in the entire game. If you use it, not even bosses will be able to kill you with that roughly +10k health you get from it.
Of course, it does have -98% slowness at best...
The message in this post: don't base everything on max health and damage.

 

First of all, wrong section.
Also...... you can't just compare items by their damage/health... you gotta look at their stats.
