Attack Speed Buff

So I have a chestplate with +2 attack speed tier and my bow has normal attack speed. When I wear the chestplate the attack speed of my bow doesn't seem to increase at all. Anybody know why?

 

It's a known bug/feature.
Even though it doesn't increase the speed of the weapon itself, it does increase the average spell damage.

 

It should increase how fast you fire. Also, you can left click with your bow to see if it has changed. If it has, then you should attack at the same rate like an empty hand does.
